Explore Kali Kesek Tourism Village, Located on Mount Slopes Ungaran

VIVA – Indonesia has great potential for mountain tourism, one is located in Sriwulan Tourism Village, Limbangan Kendal, Central Java on the slopes of Mount Ungaran. There is one interesting natural attraction in this village, known as Kali Kesek.
Kali Kesek is located at an altitude of 800 meters above sea level, on the western slope of Mount Ungaran, so the air is very cool. It takes 30 minutes’ drive from Semarang City or a hours’ drive from Kendal City to reach this place.
This tourist destination is managed by the Village-Owned Enterprise or BUMDes of Sriwulan Village together with the local village Tourism Awareness Group (Pokdarwis).
The main spot at Kali Kesek is a river that has a clear flow. Many children and teenagers play here or the local people called Pakecehan. There is a bamboo bridge over the river that is used for crossing and sightseeing.
While on the riverbank there is a special place to sit on the floor while enjoying a meal. This destination utilizes the village's cropland for tourist attractions so that it provides many benefits for residents.
"Initially, it was just a small pond by the roadside for fish massage therapy. The therapist could also do healing while looking at the panoramic view of the village and surrounding mountains. Then, some natural places by the river were made into Lesehan stalls." explained Irfan, a member of the Sriwulan Kendal Village Pokdarwis.
The visitors admitted that they liked this place because, with cheap tickets, they can enjoy the charm of Sriwulan Village.
"Cheap, that's for sure. And the location is very nice, cool and not boring. I've been here five times because even though it's in the village, it's easy to access," said one of the visitors, Shanti.
Not only that, but this tourist spot also has a fish pond by the roadside. Inside, special fish are given for foot massage reflexology therapy. Visitors just need to sit and put their feet in the water, then small fish will come and massage people’s feet.
After walking around enjoying the tour, visitors can eat at culinary stalls at very affordable prices. The menus are typical of rural food. There are several Indonesian foods, such as mendoan, onde-onde, gendar pecel, gethuk, gemblong, and others.
Regarding the entrance tickets, this destination can be said to be especially cheap. To enjoy the beauty of Kali Kesek along with free facilities such as fish therapy, photo spots, gazebos, viewing posts, rivers, trekking trails, and others. People must pay only IDR 2 thousand.
