Business Accounting Education Starts Digital-based Learning

VIVA – Indonesia is starting to enter industry 5.0 which requires the government and society should adapt to the digital industry, one is in the world of education.
As one of the educational institutions, PPM School of Management created the latest curriculum for the Bachelor of Business Accounting study program to make its students have the ability to process financial transactions, and control digital-based businesses.
"PPM School of Management managed to get superior accreditation because we can fulfill various aspects of achievement, we always update the curriculum by looking at today's needs. We see that now is the digital era so we update this study program by focusing on digital elements." Acting Head of the Accounting Study Program, Martdian Ratna Sari said in the Relaunching of the Bachelor of Business Accounting Study Program with the theme "Preparing the Students to Keep Up with Accountancy Trend" at the A.M. Kadarman Room PPM School of Management on Wednesday.
It is known that there are three courses in the latest curriculum – based on IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standard) – focusing on digital technology content, data analytics, and business acumen globally national and international competency certifications that make it easier for graduates to pursue careers in various industries and countries, namely Digital Business, Data Analytics for Accounting, and Artificial Intelligence Auditing.

"We see this course from the needs of the industry and stakeholders because now everything is playing with big data. We present theory and also practice so that it is balanced, we want PPM School of Management graduates to become accountants who not only understand financial audits but also how this software can be safe for data to enter here." Sari explained.
In addition, the PPM School of Management presents a curriculum that emphasizes soft skills in students.
"Soft skills means how we as an educational institution demand students to be able to step up to realize their goals and guide students to find what they want to do. Providing opportunities for students to develop themselves." She added.
