"The key is the discipline in implementing (P3DN), discipline about domestic products, also the use of domestic products," the President said when opening the 2023 Domestic Product Business Matching event in Jakarta, on Wednesday.

President Jokowi also reminded that the state budget (APBN) obtained from taxes, dividends from state-owned enterprises, royalties from mines, and non-tax state revenues (PNBP) should not be used to buy imported products.

The government is very serious about encouraging the use of domestic products as a strategic policy to boost national economic growth while encouraging the growth of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), the President emphasized.

"The Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment and the Minister of Industry have said that the target is 95 percent, 95 percent of the budget ceiling for goods and services must be purchased by domestic products. If we can do this, our domestic industry, our MSME industry will live and develop," he explained.

The President also appreciated the significant increase in domestic products included in the e-Catalog. Based on the report of the Head of the Government Goods/Services Procurement Policy Agency (LKPP) Hendrar Prihadi, the number of domestic products included in the e-Catalog increased from 50 thousand to 3.4 million products.

Furthermore, the President stated that the production of military uniforms for the Indonesian National Army (TNI) and the Indonesian police must be fulfilled with domestic products because Indonesia is the manufacturer of these uniforms.

"I ask for shoes, weapons, military uniforms, I ask that we can make them ourselves. So, there is no necessary to buy from outside the country. If it's like a fighter plane, that's fine," President Jokowi concluded.
