VIVA– The popular instant messaging, WhatsApp will allow users to have same account on multiple phones.
This feature has highly requested by users, now users can link their phone as one of up to four additional devices, the same as when they link with WhatsApp on web browsers, tablets, and desktops.
"Today we are expanding our multi-device offering by introducing the ability to use the same WhatsApp account on multiple phones at once," the company said in a statement on Wednesday.
As informastion, each linked phone connects to WhatsApp independently, ensuring that your personal messages, media, and calls are end-to-end encrypted, and if users primary device is inactive for a long period, the company automatically log out of all companion devices.

Then if the primary device is inactive for an extended period, the WhatsApp account will automatically log out of the other companion device.
Users can switch between multiple phones without logging out and can immediately resume the last chat.
Another benefit of this feature is that if the user is a small business owner, employees can now answer customer messages directly from their phone with the same WhatsApp Business account.
This update is already rolling out to users globally and will be available to everyone in the next few weeks.
In addition, a feature that WhatsApp will be rolling out in the next few weeks is an alternative and easy way to connect with a companion device.
The way it is used is by entering a phone number on WhatsApp Web. Then the user will receive a one-time code that can be used on the cell phone.
"That way, you no longer need to scan a QR code to enable device linking. We hope to include this feature in more companion devices in the future," WhatsApp stated.
