VIVA – Lionel Messi will officially become part of Inter Miami on early July 2023. This sent shockwaves around the world of football because he rejected Barcelona which want him back.
He also earned a lot of money and also wanted to join a Saudi Arabian League club. However, he is not interested.
In his statement some time ago, Messi rejected Barcelona because he did not want to be caught in the same situation. He had to leave the Catalan team because he could not extend the contract.
Barcelona had to let Messi go because the financial situation was not good. They exceed the maximum spending rules set by LaLiga.
Lionel Messi chose Inter Miami was right for him. Because he can get a total pay of up to US$ 50 million or the equivalent of IDR 751 billion per year.

Messi has signed a contract for two and a half years with Inter Miami. In total, he can get money amounting to IDR 2.2 trillion, including ownership shares in the club.
However, that was not Messi's only income when he joined Inter Miami. Because he still has contracts with Apple, Adidas, and Fanatics.
Messi can get additional funds from the brands on condition that he plays in North America. That's why he chose Inter Miami over other lucrative offers.
