One famous neuroscientist, Sigmund Freud, theorized that dreams hold messages that are hidden behind the human subconscious.
Some studies in the 1980s suggested that dreams are nothing but a process that takes place in the brain to "purge" unnecessary memories. Meanwhile, contrary to previous theories, other studies suggest that dreams aid the brain's memory and learning processes.
