VIVA – BMW Astra held a community gathering with BMW i owners on Saturday. This community gathering was the first of its kind and aims to provide more information to BMW i users, such as BMW iX, i3, i7, and others.
Martha Andhyka as Head Marketing of BMW Astra said that BMW Astra is committed to supporting the government in electrification, especially in electric cars.
"So far, we have prepared facilities, infrastructure, and qualified technicians. But, these customers also need a place to get the right information related to electric cars. Because we can say, they are the first owner of an electric car, there will be many questions from them regarding charging, and others," said Martha on the sidelines of the I Community gathering event at One Satrio, South Jakarta, on Saturday.
Furthermore, one of the BMW i electric car users said that this electric car has many benefits and is even more efficient than using a conventional car.

"Previously I used a conventional car. But then, i changed to electric car. Operationally I don't really calculate how much the savings are, but if the electricity does increase by one million, but if for example using diesel, gasoline is usually IDR 6 million," said George Oetomo as the owner of the BMW i, at the i Community gathering event at One Satrio, on Saturday.
Regarding the charging problem, Oetomo admitted that there was no problem. In fact, he said the advantage of this BMW electric car has a long enough mileage.
"I once tried this electric car from Karawang-Jakarta and back in two consecutive days, before leaving I charged the battery to 90, it only dropped to 50 for one trip, even in traffic," he explained.
Then, he said that the Air Conditioner (AC) in this electric car is very cold, "I feel in an electric cars, the AC is very cold."
As information, every BMW i purchase at BMW Astra, consumers will get tire protection for 2 years, BMW Service Inclusive for 6 years, warranty for 5 years, battery warranty for 8 years, 24-hour Roadside Assistance for 5 years, and BMW Astra Card membership.
