"I want the BTS settlement to be prioritized. We respect the legal process, but the completion of BTS must also continue," the President said after inaugurating the Minister of Communication and Information at the State Palace, Jakarta, on Monday.

The President emphasized that the construction of BTS throughout Indonesia, especially in frontier, underdeveloped, and outermost (3T) areas, is very important to provide digital communication services to the community.

In addition to the task of continuing the BTS development project, the President also asked Budi Arie to ensure that Indonesia can adapt to the rapidly changing world, especially in the field of information and communication technology (ICT).

"Those related to data sovereignty, artificial intelligence, frequency, and those related to satellites can be resolved immediately," the head of state said.

Furthermore, the President believes that the presence of Deputy Minister of Communication and Information Technology, Nezar Patria, who has a background as a journalist and director of SOEs and a task force in the ICT sector, can accelerate the completion of strategic programs at the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology in the remaining time of less than one and a half years.

"Everything can be pursued, accelerated, so there is already a deputy minister and we have added a task force," President Jokowi said.
