Currently, there are many international agreements and commitments related to sustainability discourse that are expected to encourage the achievement of greenhouse gas emission reduction targets, he added.

"But we need to move faster and be more innovative."

Kaimuddin said global efforts must consider the diverse priorities of the interests of developed and developing countries so sustainable economic growth can be felt fairly and equally by all.

"The Indonesian government hopes that the ISF can provide a new and fair platform for cross-country collaboration," he said.

Furthermore, Deputy Chairperson of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) for Coordinating Maritime Affairs, Investment, and Foreign Relations Shinta Kamdani said that the sustainable principles initiative is one way for Indonesia to get out of the middle-income trap.

"Namely by achieving economic growth above 6 percent, to achieve the Golden Indonesia target in 2045," she said.

According to her, the government and the business world need to work together to ensure the acceleration of sustainable and inclusive economic growth.

Therefore, Kadin also invites all business actors and potential investors to seize sustainability opportunities in the business world that have the potential to become promising economic sectors in the future.

"The ISF 2023 event is clear evidence of the collaboration of business actors and the government, to create a sustainable business ecosystem in the green economy transition," she remarked.

It’s known that this event will bring together around 700 policymakers, experts, and investors from around the world, to build partnerships in the field of sustainability to accelerate green economic growth.
