Indonesia Sends 17 Representatives for Hong Kong Open 2023

Jakarta – Indonesia officially sends 17 representatives to fight at the BWF World Tour Super 500 Hong Kong Open 2023 on September 12-17 at the Hong Kong Coliseum, Kownloon city.

The 17 Indonesian representatives include Anthony Sinisuka Ginting, Jonatan Christie, Chico Aura Dwi Wardoyo, Gregoria Mariska Tunjung, Putri Kusuma Wardani.

Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto, Mohammad Ahsan/Hendra Setiawan, Leo Rolly Carnando/Daniel Marthin, Bagas Maulana/Muhammad Shohibul Fikri, Pramudya Kusumawardana/Yeremia Erich Yoche Yacob Rambitan, Apriyani Rahayu/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti, Febriana Dwipuji Kusuma/Amallia Cahaya Pratiwi.



Meanwhile, Shesar Hiren Rhustavito who was planned to participate was forced to withdraw because of an injury during practice.

"Vito has actually arrived in Hong Kong but earlier when he was going to practice he felt his left calf pull. It looks like the injury has recurred again," said Harry Hartono, as quoted from PBSI's official statement.

"So, we decided to withdraw him. Then, he can prepare better for the next tournament which is no less important," Hartono remarked.

On the other hand, Hartono ensured that others badminton athletes are in match-ready condition.

"For Ginting, Jonatan and Chico are in good condition, after arriving from China last night," Hartono informed.

As information, the 2023 Hong Kong Open offers a total prize of US$ 420,000.
