It allows a rider to store a variety of riding gear, such as helmets, gloves, or even raincoats.

However, keep in mind that not all items are safe to put in the luggage of a motorcycle. Some items can be self-destructive or even affect the functionality of the luggage and the motorcycle as a whole.

Motorcycle luggage is often a handy place to store items during a trip. However, the temperature inside the luggage tends to be higher than outside, especially when the motorcycle is on a long trip.

This can negatively affect the vegetables and fruits stored inside. High temperatures can cause vegetables and fruits to wilt quickly and lose their freshness.

2. Cosmetics

Many female riders carry cosmetics in the luggage of their motorcycles. However, this can be a bad idea. The heat from the motorcycle engine can cause the cosmetics to melt and damage the items inside.

If you need to carry cosmetics while riding, you should consider keeping them in a bag that is more secure and protected from the heat.

3. Tightly Closed Bottles

Some items like perfume bottles have very tight closures. However, under conditions inside the luggage that are different from outside, perfume bottles can experience significant pressure changes.

This can lead to unwanted vaporization or even bursting of the bottle, which can damage the contents of the luggage and potentially endanger the rider.

4. Wet Raincoat

A wet raincoat can be a problem when placed inside the luggage of a motorcycle. Apart from potentially causing puddles inside the luggage, the temperature difference inside the trunk can also damage the raincoat itself.

Water left on the raincoat can trigger mold growth and reduce its lifespan.

5. Jewelry or Expensive Electronics

Valuable items such as jewelry, expensive electronics, or important documents should not be stored in motorcycle luggage due to the risk of theft or damage from the elements.
