Jokowi Asks Indonesian Team to Exercise Better for 2024 U23 Asian Cup

Jakarta – The Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) gave an important message to the Indonesian national team after successfully secured a ticket to the 2024 U-23 Asian Cup final.
The ticket was confirmed after Indonesia won over Turkmenistan with a score of 2-0 at the Manahan Stadium, Solo, on September 12, 2023.
"I want the Indonesian team to make better preparations and exercise to face the 2024 U-23 Asian Cup," the Head of State said after watching the match Indonesia vs Turkmenistan on Tuesday.

"The preparation is longer, so I think we will go there in a much more prepared condition. I think everyone was playing well," the President added
The U-23 Asian Cup will be held in Qatar from April 15 to May 3, 2024. A total of 16 countries will fight to become champions at the event
"Once again, this journey is still long until April 2024. Therefore, maintain cooperation and exercise as well as possible," President Widodo asked.Â
The Indonesian U-23 national team qualified for the U-23 Asian Cup with the status of Group K Champion. Before defeated Turkmenistan, Indonesia successfully beat Taiwan with a score of 9-0. Indonesia also collected six points, perfect from two matches.
