Mount Bromo Tourism Officially Reopens After Massive Fire

Malang – The Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park (BB TNBTS) has officially reopened Mount Bromo tourism after the massive fire on September 6. As information, this fire has burned around 504 hectares of the National Park area.

Head of Administration of BB TNBTS, Septi Eka Wardhani stated that the reopening of tourism was carried out after the joint team succeeded in extinguishing the massive fire that happened on Mount Bromo. 

"Visits to Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park, both through the entrances of Coban Trisula Malang Regency, Wonokitri Pasuruan Regency, Cemorolawang Probolinggo Regency, and Senduro Lumajang Regency, have been opened to visitors starting on Tuesday, September 19," Wardhani informed on Tuesday.

For the purchase of tickets to enter the Bromo area and its surroundings can only be done online via the link http://bookingbromo.bromotenggersemeru.org, Wardhani added.

"There is no offline purchase of Mount Bromo tickets at all entrances unless the online booking system is problematic," Wardhani said. 

"Prospective visitors are required to comply with all applicable regulations and restrictions in the TNBTS area listed on the online booking website," she said. 

In addition, visitors who have purchased tickets through online booking on September 7-18, 2023, can submit a reschedule through the link http://bit.ly/reschedulebromo092023.

Meanwhile, tours to Ranu Regulo and Ranu Darungan have also been opened to visitors. 

Ranu Regulo and Ranu Darungan entrance tickets can be purchased directly at the Ranu Regulo and Ranu Darungan entrances. 

"Meanwhile, the climbing of Mount Semeru is still closed because the level of volcanic activity is still at Level III, Alert,"

The TNBTS Center as the tourism authority in the area, appealed to all visitors and tourism service providers to comply with entry procedures. Including regulations and restrictions that apply in the Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park Area.

"Remember, currently it is still in the forest fire alert period to not bring equipment that can cause forest fires, including campfires, fireplaces, fireworks, firecrackers, and flares to prevent forest fires for safety, security, and mutual comfort," Wardhani concluded.
