Benjamin Netanyahu Reveals to Make Hostage Deal with Hamas

Gaza – The Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday revealed that there could be an agreement with Hamas for the release of hostages held in the Gaza Strip.Â
"I think the less I say about it, the more I'll increase the chances that it materializes," Netanyahu stated, as quoted from the Anadolu Ajansi site.Â
In response to a question about whether he knows where all the hostages are currently being held.Â

"We know a great deal, but I won't go beyond that," Netanyahu remarked.Â
Moreover, Netanyahu said that any agreement would be the result of pressure, military pressure.Â
"That's the one thing that might create a deal and if a deal is available. So, we will talk about it when it's there. We'll announce it if it's achievable," Netanyahu continued.Â

Netanyahu mentioned that he's also discussing the future of governance of the Gaza Strip post-conflict.Â
He suggested that a change in authority might be necessary. However, he didn't specify what form his new governance might take, adding the United States would oppose Israeli occupation of Gaza.Â
