Bakrie Says ABAC Forum Result as Recommendations for APEC Leaders

United States – Chairman of the APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC) Indonesia Anindya Novyan Bakrie delivered a series of APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC) meetings held in conjunction with the APEC Summit in San Francisco, United States (US).
Anindya Bakrie said in this ABAC IV forum, he and ABAC representatives from 21 APEC countries had met and dialogued, with various business policymakers in the United States.
"The results we bring as input to APEC leaders," Bakrie said as quoted from a post on his official Instagram, @anindyabakrie, on Friday.

This year ABAC is led by the United States, with its chairman Dominic Ng. For next year, it will be Peru's turn to lead with its chairman Julia Torreblanca, he said.
Bakrie also explained that he had the opportunity became speaker at the APEC National Committee in the Sustainable Future Forum, along with the Head of the California Energy Commission, David Hochschild, CSO & VP Sustainable Workplace General Motors, Kristen Siemen, and Bloomberg Reporter, David Baker.
"We discussed the topic of decarbonizing transportation, and I shared my experience on transportation electrification in Indonesia with @vktr_indonesia,"
Bakrie also remembered how the APEC Summit was opened by the President of the United States, Joe Biden, and his deputy, Kamala Harris, as well as the Governor of California and the Mayor of San Francisco.
Also present were President Joko Widodo (Jokowi). Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, the Sultan and Prince of Brunei, and other world leaders.

"The opening was very lively and exciting, even the APEC leaders danced with @gwenstefani," Bakrie remarked.
Bakrie expressed that he was proud and grateful to be able to represent Indonesia and participate in this ABAC meeting.
Moreover, he also hopes the input brought from the dialog with business policymakers in the United States will make a positive contribution to APEC leaders.
"The APEC Summit was truly impressive, with a lively opening and high spirits from APEC leaders. However, Indonesia was no less stunning in the opening of the G20 and the ASEAN Summit," Bakrie concluded.
