Jokowi Announces Recruitment of 2.3 Million State Civil Servants

Jakarta – The Indonesian government has opened recruitment for state civil servants (ASN) 2024 for 2.3 million formations, this was stated by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi).

The recruitment will target selection candidates for state civil servants and selection for government employees with work agreements (PPPK).

"This year the government will open recruitment for 2.3 million ASN candidates," The President said in a press statement at the Presidential Palace, Jakarta on Friday.

President Jokowi further said that the Government provides opportunities for new graduates or fresh graduates to fill various formations needed.

"The Government provides opportunities for new graduates or fresh graduates, by opening CPNS formations in 2024 as many as 690,000 people, spread across 207,000 central agencies and 483,000 regional agencies," the President explained.

The Government will also complete the arrangement of non-ASN employees. Based on the BKN database as mandated by Law Number 20 of 2023 concerning ASN, this year there will be a recruitment of 1,600,000 formations that have not been appointed as PPPK.

"These formations will be allocated for teachers and lecturers, health workers, and technical personnel as needed. So this year the government will open recruitment of 2,300,000 candidates for the state civil apparatus," President Jokowi explained.

The Head of State said that the Government invites young people to take advantage of this recruitment opportunity.

"Through this opportunity, I invite all of you great young talents in Indonesia to take advantage of this opportunity to recruit state civil servants in 2024, and become part of the spirit of bureaucratic reform, as well as impactful and better public services," the President remarked.
