Jakarta – Today's Google Doodle celebrates the birthday of Indonesian actress Siti Aminah Cendrakasih. She is an Indonesian actress and model known for playing Mak Nyak in the television series "Si Doel Anak Sekolahan".
The Google Doodle depicts Aminah Cendrakasih wearing her trademark hijab while playing Mak Nyak. The color palette is muted, combining elements of orange, yellow, green, and dark blue.
In the background, there is an old-school television illustration that reflects the era of the first airing of Si Doel Anak Sekolahan in 1994-1997.

In addition to the series that catapulted her name, Aminah Cendrakasih also played roles in several soap operas and the big screen.
Some of them are 'Rumah Masa Depan', 'Oh, Ibuku', and 'Ibu dan Putri'. As quoted from the FFI page, Aminah Cendrakasih has starred in 101 films from 1955-1989.
She disappeared from the movie world after starring in 'Habis Gelap Terbitlah Terang' in 1959 and got married. Aminah Cendrakasih only returned to the stage through several television series in 1970.
The blood of art flows in Aminah Cendrakasih from both parents. Her mother Wolly Sutinah aka 'Mak Wok' was an Indonesian actor, and her father Husni Nugib was a comedian.
Aminah Cendrakasih's biggest achievement was winning the 'Lifetime Achievement Award' from the Indonesia Movie Awards in 2013. At the time, she could no longer see because of the glaucoma. Then, Aminah Cendrakasih passed away on December 21, 2022.
