In the period from 2017 to January 31, 2024, the task force blocked 8,460 illegal financial entities, comprising 1,218 illegal investment entities, 6,991 illegal online loan entities, and 251 illegal pawn entities.

"The Pasti Task Force reminds people to be careful, stay vigilant, and not use illegal online loans and personal loans because they could potentially disadvantage the community, including the risks of misuse of borrowers' personal data," the task force's secretary, Hudiyanto said on Tuesday.

Hudiyanto underscored that efforts to eradicate illegal financial activities need the support and participation of the community, namely by staying careful and vigilant when they get offers from other people.

People are also being urged to pay attention to two important aspects: legality and logic. Legality means ensuring that the products and services offered have received legal approval from supervisory institutions.

As for logic, people are being urged to pay attention to whether the benefits offered are rational or not.

People who get information or offers of suspicious investments and online loans, including those with irrational benefits, are being encouraged to immediately report them to the OJK.
