Jakarta – Indonesian Muslims have received a donation of 20 tons of dates and 150 boxes of Iftar meals from King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud of Saudi Arabia.

The Saudi Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance stated that King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud also provided 50 thousand  Quran copies for Indonesians.

The donation was presented by Saudi Ambassador to Indonesia, Faisal bin Abdullah Al-Amoudi, to the Indonesian Vice Minister of Religious Affairs, Saiful Rahmat Dasuki, and the Grand Imam of Istiqlal Mosque, Nasaruddin Umar, at the ST.Regis Hotel, Rasuna Said, South Jakarta.

Indonesia, Saudi Arabia to Explore Deeper Cooperation in Hajj Aviation

According to the Religious Attaché of the Saudi Embassy in Indonesia, Sheikh Ahmed bin Essa Al-Hazmi, the Iftar program will commence at Istiqlal Mosque, Jakarta, and will continue to various regions across Indonesia.

The overall aid distributed includes 20 tons of dates, 150 thousand boxes of iftar meals, and 50 thousand Quran copies.

"This is given by King Salman and the Crown Prince out of their concern for all Muslims worldwide, including the Republic of Indonesia, in how they can observe this Ramadan with the best possible means," the Saudi Ambassador stated.

This significant donation serves as tangible evidence of the cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Indonesia in supporting Muslims in Indonesia, especially in welcoming the holy month of Ramadan.

It's hoped the contribution from King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, it will greatly benefit Muslim citizens across Indonesia in observing Ramadan with excellence.
