United States – The Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Lalu Muhamad Iqbal stated that no Indonesian citizens were involved in the incident of the Francis Scott Key Bridge collapse in Baltimore, Maryland, United States.

"Until now, no Indonesian citizens have been reported as victims of the Francis Scott Key Bridge incident in Maryland," Iqbal informed in a statement on Thursday.

Iqbal said that the Indonesian Embassy in Washington DC continues to monitor the situation through relevant authorities and Indonesian community networks in Baltimore.

At the time of the incident, the Singapore-flagged cargo ship Dali was passing from Baltimore to the capital of Sri Lanka, Colombo, according to media reports.

The Baltimore City Fire Department reported that at least seven people were in the river and a large tractor-trailer was on the bridge when the incident occurred.

Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott announced a local state of emergency for 30 days following the incident.

Meanwhile, the Singapore Transportation Safety Investigation Bureau and the Maritime and Port Authority (MPA) stated that they have dispatched investigative teams to the United States to assist in the investigation of the cargo ship's collision with the bridge.

The President of the United States Joe Biden directed his administration on Tuesday to deploy all efforts to reopen the Port of Baltimore and rebuild the bridge as soon as possible.

Biden also ensured that there is no indication that the bridge collision was intentional.
