Jokowi: Indonesia Succeeded in Reducing Stunting Rate

Jakarta – Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) stated that Indonesia successfully in reducing stunting rate to 21.5 percent by the end of 2023.
The Head of State said, since 2013 the stunting rate has increased to 37.6 percent.
"This achievement was the hard work of all parties, even though the target for achieving stunting this year was still unclear," President ajokowi said at the Indonesian Ministry of Health's National Health Working Meeting on Wednesday (April 14).
President Jokowi admitted that the 14 percent target isn't an easy task because it requires efforts to coordinate various ministries.
"Indeed, our target of 14 percent is very ambitious, but if it wasn't like that, we would not be working hard to achieve it," the Head of State remarked.
President Jokowi also believed that the jump of 21.5 percent needs to be appreciated.
He further feels optimistic by hard work, Indonesia can achieve target of 15 percent by the end of the year.
