President Jokowi Affirms Indonesia's Support for Palestine

Dumai – Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) stated that Indonesia is consistent in fighting for the independence of all nations, including the Palestinian people and fighting for world peace.
"Indonesia is consistent with its free and active policy of fighting for the independence of all nations, including the independence of the Palestinian people and fighting for world peace," the Head of State said in his remarks at the 2024 Pancasila Birth Day commemoration ceremony at Rokan Block, Dumai, on Saturday (June 1).
President Jokowi remarked that Indonesia's role in the international world is getting stronger.
This is evidenced by Indonesia's success as Chair of the G20, Chair of ASEAN, including the organization of the 10th World Water Forum (WWF) in Bali.
"Our work in the international world does not dampen our struggle to achieve economic independence. We continue to fight for economic independence, including through domestic industrialization and through downstreaming in various sectors," President Jokowi remarked.
The President also explained that people should be grateful because Indonesia remains strong, stable, united and continues to grow its economy amidst uncertainty.
As information, ministers in attendance in the Pancasila Birth Day ceremony, included Minister of State Secretary Pratikno, Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Hadi Tjahjanto, Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian, Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno Marsudi.
There are also Minister of Public Works and Public Housing Basuki Hadimuljono, Minister of State-Owned Enterprises Erick Thohir, TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto, National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, BIN Chief Budi Gunawan.
