Jokowi Declares June 10 as National Entrepreneurship Day

Jakarta – Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has set National Entrepreneurship Day on June 10 through a Presidential Decree that he signed some time ago.
The Head of State said that the establishment of the National Entrepreneurship Day is a gift for the Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (HIPMI), which is celebrating its 52nd anniversary.
"As a birthday gift, I have signed (the establishment of) National Entrepreneurship Day in the form of a Presidential Decree," President Jokowi said in a statement at the 52nd anniversary of the Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (HIPMI), in Senayan area, Jakarta, on Monday (June 10).
The President expressed that he was pleased that the Government could fulfill the proposal of entrepreneurs, including the founder and chairman of HIPMI to establish a National Entrepreneurship Day through the Presidential Decree he signed.
"This is in accordance with what was proposed and requested by the founder and chairman of HIPMI, a month or two ago, when they visited the Palace. So in the form of a Presidential Decree," the Head of State concluded.
