Jakarta Hosts First-Ever DKJ Awards 2024

Jakarta, 15 June 2024 – The Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta is launching the inaugural Derap Kerja Sama Jakarta (DKJ) Awards 2024, recognizing companies with outstanding corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs operating within the Jakarta area.

This award is part of the 497th anniversary celebration of Jakarta and marks the first time the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has held such an appreciation event.

CSR programs included in the DKJ 2024 are judged by a panel of experienced jurors. The categories for awards are health, environment, and community empowerment.

The jury panel is led by Sri Haryati, Assistant for Economic and Financial Affairs at the Jakarta Provincial Secretary, and includes notable figures such as environmental management expert Prof. Sudharto P. Hadi, Deputy Head of Jakarta's Environmental Agency Sarjoko, and public health expert Dr. Siti Nadia Tarmizi.

A total of 15 winners have been shortlisted to compete for awards under the theme "Harmoni Jakarta Kota Global." Judging took place on Friday, June 14, from 09:00 to 16:00 at Hotel Borobudur Jakarta. Five winners from each category will be announced on June 19, and the awards will be presented by the Governor of Jakarta during the city's anniversary celebration on June 22.

The CSR programs are evaluated based on three criteria: sustainability, innovation, and impact. Head of Regional Cooperation Bureau, Marulina Dewi emphasized the importance of this initiative, stating,

"DKJ 2024 provides a platform for businesses to showcase their CSR programs, ensuring they are sustainable and beneficial to the community.”

Examples of eligible programs include cleaner production and waste management in the environment category, Posyandu Sehati and stunting prevention in the health category, and urban greening and entrepreneurship training in the community empowerment category.

Marulina Dewi also highlighted the significance of the judging process: "The jury selection was thorough. We want the judging sessions to be beneficial for the participating businesses, offering learning and tips from the judges."
