BNBR Announces Toll Road Development Plans Under Prabowo Subianto Era

Jakarta, VIVA – Bakrie & Brothers (BNBR) has confirmed its intention to participate in the construction of new toll road projects under the leadership of Prabowo Subianto in the coming era.
It is known that the Prabowo administration plans to build toll roads with a total length of 2,300 kilometers.
Roy Hendrajanto, BNBR's Finance Director, stated that the company is very interested in further developing its portfolio of toll road projects in Indonesia, as it has already done with the Cimanggis-Cibitung Toll Road project.
"We (BNBR) are still in the early stages of the toll road sector, and we are learning from this project first. If we see that the potential is good, we will participate," Hendrajanto said in South Jakarta on Thursday (Sept 26).

He stated that BNBR is open to participating in the expansion of toll road projects in Indonesia, as long as the business calculations for the project align with the company's needs.
In fact, he confirmed that BNBR is open to both new projects that have not yet been built and projects in areas where infrastructure has already been developed.
"So, both are possible if they are attractive. For example, like Cimanggis-Cibitung, where we were involved from the beginning as a greenfield project. Going forward, if there are more promising greenfield projects, why not," Hendrajanto explained.
He added, "Although it's easier to assess a completed project, since it already generates revenue and other factors, greenfield projects are not a problem either."
Earlier, the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) revealed three toll road projects that would be carried over into the Prabowo Subianto administration.
These include the Trans-Sumatra Toll Road , the Trans-Java Toll Road, and the Nusantara Capital City (IKN) Toll Road.
