Toyota Indonesia Unveiled Business-friendly Car for Entrepreneurs

Jakarta, VIVA – After being introduced last year, Toyota-Astra Motor (TAM) has officially launched its commercial vehicle, the All-new Hilux Rangga. This vehicle is claimed to be suitable for business owners in Indonesia.
Hiroyuki Ueda, President Director of TAM, stated that the company continues to innovate in providing more relevant and beneficial mobility solutions for all segments of society, including business operators.
"We were officially launching the latest mobility solution, the Toyota Hilux Rangga, to support key sectors such as manufacturing, construction, large companies, and small-medium enterprises that contribute to the economy," he said during the launch event of the Toyota Hilux Rangga at JIEXpo Kemayoran, North Jakarta.
At the same occasion, Henry Tanoto, Vice President Director of TAM, revealed that before the launch of the Hilux Rangga, the company conducted research involving hundreds of business owners in Indonesia.

"We conducted research to directly observe the actual conditions in the field. We visited hundreds of cities and engaged in dialogue with hundreds of business owners and consumers," said Tanoto.
He added, "This was done so that we could provide mobility solutions that truly meet the market needs in each region of Indonesia,"
Additionally, Toyota has collaborated with 70 local bodybuilders to convert the Hilux Rangga pickup into vehicles that meet the specific needs of business customers.
"We have also collaborated with 70 local bodybuilders to ensure the Hilux Rangga can meet the business needs of our customers," he remarked.
Regarding vehicle specifications, the Hilux Rangga is offered with two engine options: a 2.0L gasoline engine producing 139 hp and 183 Nm of torque, and a 2.4L diesel engine generating 149 hp and 343 Nm of torque.
As for its carrying capacity, the Toyota Hilux Rangga can transport up to 1.2 tons of goods, with a length exceeding five meters, or 5,300 mm, and a width of 1,700 mm.
