President Prabowo Calls for Program Synergy to Ensure Effective Governance

Jakarta, VIVA – President Prabowo Subianto instructed his administration to immediately prepare work programs in each ministry and agency to realize good governance.
“I believe that in the near future, each Ministry needs to prepare its own work programs. I am giving them time, and I will continue to call for coordination,” the head of state said in Jakarta on Thursday (Oct 24).
He requested the Ministry of National Development Planning (PPN/Bappenas) to ensure that all programs and activities across ministries and agencies have a significant, measurable impact and work synergistically.
The President also emphasized the importance of food self-sufficiency in facing global uncertainty and the potential for conflict.

“We must achieve food self-sufficiency. That is a fundamental priority because the global situation, a major war, could break out at any moment. We must ensure our ability to feed our own people,” the President stated.
In addition, the President instructed the relevant ministries and agencies to expedite the downstreaming of several priority commodities.
“I'm asking the relevant ministers, the Minister of Investment and Downstreaming, the Minister of National Development Planning, the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, and other ministers, supported of course by the Coordinating Minister for the Economy and the Chairman of the National Economic Council, to immediately inventory the key projects in our downstreaming program,” he emphasized.
Regarding the Nutritious Meals Program, he instructed the Head of the National Nutrition Agency to move quickly in realizing the program, which is a focus of his administration.
The President also reminded the National Nutrition Agency to continuously calculate progress towards the set targets and not to give in to challenges in making the program a success.
“For me, nutritious meals for children and pregnant women are strategic. Anyone who doesn’t support this can leave the government I lead. We are one team and must believe in it. This is part of Indonesia’s national revival plan,” the President stressed.
