Reason Why Prabowo Organized military academy retreat for new cabinet

Jakarta, VIVA – Indonesian new President, Prabowo Subianto, led his cabinet members on a three-day retreat at a military academy nestled in the Javanese mountains of Magelang.
According to Arif Nurul Imam, Executive Director of Skala Data Indonesia, this retreat at Magelang Military Academy is essential for the ministers and deputy ministers of the Prabowo-Gibran Red and White Cabinet.
The current cabinet, led by President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, is a coalition of diverse political affiliations and backgrounds.
“This will create a foundation for collective thinking, given that the cabinet is made up of multiple parties, colors, and backgrounds,” Imam said on Friday (Oct 25).

Imam believes this approach could be beneficial in achieving the cabinet’s goals. The retreat is intended to foster a sense of unity among the Red and White Cabinet members, enabling them to build a stronger team dynamic.
“It will be positive if it helps align perceptions, build chemistry, and create a shared understanding of Prabowo Subianto’s vision,” Imam remarked.
He further stated that this training in Magelang also aims to strengthen the resilience and solidarity of the Red and White Cabinet, as well as to deepen the relationships among its members.
According to Imam, some elements of military training are highly relevant for the ministers, deputy ministers, and other cabinet members to learn and apply.
He emphasized that this is precisely what President Prabowo wants; for his team to learn certain military values that could enhance the cabinet’s cohesion and effectiveness.
