President Prabowo Praises Indonesia’s Hard-Fought Victory Over Bahrain

Jakarta, VIVA – Indonesian President, Prabowo Subianto, praised the national football team’s hard-fought victory against Bahrain with a score of 1-0 in the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers.
The match took place at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium, Jakarta, on Tuesday (March 25).
Prabowo, who attended the match in person, joyfully celebrated the goal scored by Ole Romeny in the 24th minute.
“Alhamdulillah, we did it. Our national team fought well, they worked hard,” the head of state said.

On the same occasion, Prabowo also expressed his gratitude to the Indonesian Football Association (PSSI), led by Erick Thohir, for their efforts and progress in advancing the team.
“I want to thank PSSI. Keep moving forward. Hopefully, if we had lost tonight, we would have been out. But this means we still have a chance. Keep going!” he stated.
President Prabowo also shared his optimism that the Indonesian national team could qualify for the World Cup.
