President Prabowo Leads Major Rice Harvest in Majalengka

Jakarta, VIVA – Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto traveled to Majalengka Regency, West Java Province, on Monday (April 7), for a working visit.
The Head of State, along with a limited entourage, departed from Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base in Jakarta at around 9.45 A.M. aboard a Indonesian Air Force Caracal helicopter.
In Majalengka, President Prabowo took part in a large-scale rice harvest in Randegan Wetan Village, Jati 7 Subdistrict.
This activity was part of a simultaneous harvest held across 14 provinces and 157 cities/regencies throughout Indonesia, aimed at strengthening the country’s food security.
"This large-scale harvest is not just a symbol of a successful planting season, but also concrete proof of the increase in national agricultural productivity,” said Presidential Secretariat Deputy for Protocol, Press, and Media, Yusuf Permana, in a written statement on Monday.

He stated that this harvest is expected to serve as an important moment in realizing national food sovereignty.
“The event also serves as a key opportunity to strengthen collaboration between the central government, local governments, farmers, and other stakeholders in the agricultural sector to achieve national food sovereignty,” Permana stated.
Following the harvest event, President Prabowo was scheduled to return directly to Jakarta.
Accompanying President Prabowo on this visit was Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.
Meanwhile, present to see off President Prabowo at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base were Jakarta Military Regional Command Deputy Chief Brig. Gen. Rachmad, Deputy Chief of Metro Jaya Police Brig. Gen. Djati Wiyoto Abadhy, Air Base Commander Air Vice Marshal Muzafar, and Wijayakarta Military Resort Commander Col. Nugroho Imam Santoso.
