BNBR’s Profitability Continues Upward Trend in First Quarter 2025

Jakarta, VIVA – Bakrie & Brothers (BNBR) reported a net profit attributable to the parent entity of IDR 62.02 billion in the first quarter of 2025.

This figure reflects a 17.0 percent increase, or IDR 9.0 billion, compared to the same period last year, which was IDR 53.02 billion.

BNBR CEO and President Director Anindya Bakrie stated that the company also recorded revenue of IDR 953.80 billion, an 11.64 percent increase or IDR 99.5 billion compared to the same period last year, which stood at IDR 854.33 billion.

Operating profit also rose by 15.72 percent or IDR 8.87 billion, from IDR 56.38 billion in the same period last year to IDR 65.25 billion.

“This positive performance is the result of the hard work across all business units, which led BNBR to achieve encouraging growth during the first three months of 2025,” Bakrie said in a statement on Sunday (May 4).

Bakrie explained that the revenue increase came from Bakrie Metal Industries (BMI) Group, which rose by 14.8 percent or IDR 85 billion; VKTR Teknologi Mobilitas (VKTR) Group, which increased by 6.3 percent or IDR 13 billion; and Bakrie Indo Infrastructure (BIIN) Group, which grew by 3.8 percent or IDR 2.8 billion.

The increase in net profit was also supported by a significant reduction in interest expenses at the holding company level, following successful debt restructuring and settlements last year.

The company also succeeded in boosting retained earnings, following a quasi-reorganization last year.

Meanwhile, BNBR Finance Director Roy Hendrajanto M. Sakti added that in Q1-2025, the revenue growth of Bakrie Metal Industries (BMI) Group was supported by a 1.7 percent or IDR 9.5 billion increase in revenue from Bakrie Pipe Industries (BPI) compared to the same period last year.

In addition, Southeast Asia Pipe Industries (SEAPI) contributed a 57.6 percent or IDR 15 billion increase in revenue.

“There was also a contribution from Bakrie Constructions (BCons), which posted revenue of IDR 74.3 billion, while the same period last year was zero,” Sakti added.
