VIVAnews – Prime location is the key factor of property business’ success. Based on this premise, PT Bakrieland Development Tbk merged property and infrastructure sectors as a strategy to keep controlling prime locations.
“I believe a location becomes prime when the access is good,” said President Director concurrently CEO of PT Bakrieland Development Tbk Hiramsyah S Thaib during a talk on the sideline of his representing Indonesia in ‘Real Estate Investment World Asia 2011’ in Singapore this week.
Through its subsidiary PT Bakrie Toll Road, Bakrieland is building several toll roads to support the property sector it is developing. It is believed that the road construction that is integrated with property will raise the added value.
Aside to road construction, Bakrieland is also integrating ongoing property development with the infrastructure of clean water. “Property’s value soars because the infrastructure is good,” he said.
One of the projects to be carried out is Bogor-Sukabumi-Bandung toll roads that will pass through the property developed by Bakrieland.
In order to improve the access to Jonggol satellite city that is being developed, Bakrieland will also build a road stretching for five kilometers from the end of Sentul. The first stage of the development of the area, 200 hectares of landed residence, is targeted to start this August with estimated duration of two to three years.
Aside to housing, Bakrieland will develop a shopping area and a theme park on 12,000 hectares wide of land. Hiramsyah wanted to transform Bukit Jonggol Asri complex into a new economic center that does not burden the capital Jakarta.
