Dalam konferensi pers perilisan albumnya, Lisa mengaku sangat senang lantaran penggemarnya akhirnya bisa mendengarkan album solo miliknya. Melansir Soompi, album tersebut diberi nama LALISA karena ia ingin menunjukkan dirinya sendiri sebagai seorang Lalisa melalui album itu.
