Speeding Up Infrastructure Development

VIVAnews - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono requested that infrastructure projects that are being worked on be accelerated. It will aim at avoiding unemployment rate from increasing due to recent layoffs in several industrial sectors.

This afternoon, Dec 11, the President presided over a cabinetary meeting on the acceleration of the infrastructure development. Finance Minister Sri Mulyani, State Minister of State-Owned Enterprises Sofyan Djalil, Industry Minister Fahmi Idris and Minister/State Secretary Hatta Rajasa.

"The cabinetry meeting discussed the acceleration of infrastructure development," said Hatta at the Presidential Office on Thursday, Dec 11.

He said that President Yudhoyono will also hold a meeting with all of the governors from Indonesia to talk about the matter. "The meeting will take place in the Department of Domestic Affairs office," said Hatta.
