VIVAnews - Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources estimates that the quota for subsidized fuel in 2011 of 40.49 million kiloliters will not suffice until the end of year. Up to October of 2011, subsidized fuel consumption has exceeded 2.72 percent of the set quota.

Directorate General of Oil and Gas, Evita Legowo, said the issue will be discussed with Commission VII of the House of Representatives (DPR).

"The set quota is 40.49 million kiloliters. This year, [fuel consumption] will likely reach 41 million kiloliters," he said.

Fuel manipulation has been mostly held accountable for the matter.

Upstream Oil and Gas Regulator (BP Migas) has closely monitored subsidized oil supply. Up until October of 2011, the consumption has surpassed 2.72 percent.
