Indonesia to Set Reverse Engineering on Plant

VIVAnews - State electricity company PT PLN teams up with the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) to carry out reverse engineering on steam-based power plant.

Reverse engineering aims at boosting the availability and reliability of power plants so as to help PLN get quality materials with lower prices.

PLN President Director, Nur Pamudji, expected the program will make ways for local manufacturers produce more spareparts.

"Given the reverse engineering, we're calling on ITB and ITS (Surabaya Institute of Technology) to sketch the design," he said.

The level of success gained depends much on the wills of the directors. "It's important to have self confidence," he said.
