VIVAnews – The national Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is currently highlighting the budgeting process at the House of Representatives following the many corruption cases that happened during the budgeting preparation at the House.

“Yes, we are conducting investigation on everything related to the House’s budget, starting from the planning to implementation,” said Deputy Chairman of KPK, Zulkarnaen, today, March 12.

According to Zulkarnaen, there are still many loopholes in the budgeting process that must be addressed. The former AGO advisor mentioned that improvements can be made by restructuring the system that may prevent corruption of the budgeting sector. “The improvement should be more focused on the system,” he said.

A number of corruption cases that led to the House’s budget management process are still handled by KPK. For example, the SEA GAMES Athlete village project corruption case and the Regional Infrastructure Development Acceleration (PPID) bribery case.

And the most well-known case is the Regional Infrastructure Adjustment (DPID) bribery case in Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam Province with the suspect, a member of the House’s budgeting department, Wa Ode Nurhayati.
