VIVA – Daihatsu organized again a car modification contest titled Daihatsu Dress Up e-Challenge. The contest, which was held in October-December 2022, was followed by thousands of participants from Indonesia and Malaysia. In this modification contest, Daihatsu collaborated with Hot Import Night (HIN) and Indonesia Auto Modified (IAM).

This modification contest has been consistently held for the 9th time since 2014. This year, a total of 1,122 participants joined the contest, with 860 from Indonesia and 262 from Malaysia. All participants displayed their best-modified works. This activity aims to provide creative space for car modifiers.

The Promotion Department Head of PT Astra Daihatsu Motor (ADM), Eko Priyanto said that besides being a competition, the Daihatsu Dress Up e-Challenge was held as a place for the modifier community to meet each other, add relations, and more.

"Community friends are most happy when they can meet friends (car modifiers) from other regions and countries. In fact, it makes them challenged to compete at different levels," Eko stated at the Daihatsu Dress Up e-Challenge Press Conference in Ancol, Jakarta, on Saturday, December 3, 2022.

Not only that, but Eko Priyatno also expressed his gratitude that the modification contest for the young generation was welcomed both in Indonesia and Malaysia. This activity is also to express themselves and compete in the creativity of modifying Daihatsu cars.

"Daihatsu is grateful that the modification contest for young people is positively welcomed not only in Indonesia but also in Malaysia with a total of thousands of modification units appearing. Hopefully, modifiers can utilize the Daihatsu Dress Up e-Challenge 2022 contest to express themselves positively and compete in the creativity of modifying Daihatsu and Perodua cars, and Daihatsu will get closer to Sahabat Muda," Eko Priyanto explained.

The Daihatsu Dress Up e-Challenge competition uses an elimination scheme and winners will be selected into several stages. Starting from registration, then entering the elimination stage through jury assessment.

The jury's assessment is based on exterior and interior appearance, audio, engine, and usability or modification price value. After passing the selection, in the semifinals there are two participants from each country, then they will be pitted through a voting mechanism.

In the final stage, the best-modified cars from Indonesia and Malaysia will be pitted again through voting to determine the Daihatsu Dress Up e-Challenge 2022 car modification champion.

Furthermore, the requirement to participate in this competition is of course to own a Daihatsu car, and Daihatsu has also prepared a total prize of US$5,000 or IDR 77.1 million, as well as a trophy. To check the winner, you can check the official Instagram of Daihatsu.
