Pertamina Aims 7-8% Production Increase

VIVAnews – State oil and gas company Pertamina targets the oil production growth in 2010 by 7 to 8 percent.

“I can still see [the possibility of] a 7-8 percent raise,” said Pertamina President Director Karen Agustiawan in Jakarta on Thursday, Oct. 29.

Agustiawan said that Pertamina’s oil production now reaches 181,000 barrels per day (bpd).

The oil production growth is now expected to be attained from the Cepu block oil and gas field that has yet to fully operate since Cepu block can only produce 6,000 bpd.

“Probably next year [production] will reach 20,000 barrels per day flat,” she added.

Other oil fields which are expected to have a production increase are Sukowati and Limau field. Meanwhile, SQ35 oil field that has a full capacity is expected to have an increase in its production.
