VIVAnews - A high school student was shot to death by a robber in Bekasi, West Java. Ferry Ananda, 16, was trying to get his motorbike back as the outlaw reached for a gun and pulled the trigger on Ferry last night, Jan 13.
The incident took place when Ferry discovered a man attempting to steal his motorbike away. The victim at that time parked the motorbike at the front part of his home in Cibitung, Bekasi.
Upon picking up on the theft, he initiated to pursue the culprit on foot. The effort failed as the robber decided to shoot Ferry on the chest.
Witnesses rushed for the shot young man and took him away to Cibitung Hospital. However, the doctors could not save Ferry's life.
Jakarta and the surrounding area have seen growing number of armed robberies in the past few months. Earlier, the crime scene was situated at Hasta Nugraha Health Clinic on Jalan Duren Sawit, East Jakarta. Robbers aimed random shots at the crowd willing to pick them up. Three men were seriously injured.
