VIVAnews - Citigroup Vice Chairman Lew Kaden set up a meeting with Citibank's employees in Indonesia and several state officials yesterday to discuss about current fraud involving a manager as well as death of the bank's customer.
Kaden said the firm is committed to regain trust of the Indonesian market over Citibank. "Our senior managers are seriously paying attention to the issues," he said.
Citibank is fully in support of any legal process being enforced, said Kaden, to settle the cases.
"I assure you that we are willing to sort out the problem with the family of the deceased. If any of our gestures is seen as unseemly, we apologize," he said.
Citibank, he said, is collaborating with Bank Indonesia to improve its internal system to anticipate future fraud and prevent violent actions from being carried out against its cutsomers.
