VIVAnews - Chief Comm. Yurod Saleh was just assigned the new Director of Investigation at the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). He vowed to look into countless cases involving politicians. "I will proceed with all cases that the KPK has been probing into," Yurod said.
The KPK now deals with a number of cases whose main suspects are politicians. The bribery case over a Senior Deputy Governor of Bank Indonesia which draws in 25 active and retired politicians at the House of Representatives is one the major cases being investigated.
In addition, the KPK also sees into a bribery case in the development of athlete's dormitory facilities in Jakabaring, Palembang, South Sumatra. The Treasurer of the Democratic Party, M. Nazaruddin, has been allegedly linked to the case.
Other corruption case deals with used electric trains from Japan. A Treasurer at the National Mandate Party and Director of PT Powertel, Jon Erizal, was mentioned in the case.
