VIVAnews - Inflation rate in Indonesia is strongly determined by three provinces of Jakarta, West Java and Banten due to their interlinkage functions. The three areas are supported by proper infrastructures which in turn drive the economy in other regions.
Bank Indonesia Deputy Governor, Hartadi A. Sarwono said Jakarta is home of consumers while Banten and West Java stand as suppliers.
"The three areas are characterized by their influences in affecting the national inflation," said Hartadi on Thursday, July 14.
Jakarta contributes 22.5 percent of the national Consumer Price Index (IHK) to the overall inflation.
The three areas in total make 47 percent of contribution to the national IHK.
