VIVAnews - South Jakarta Police have arrested three perpetrators of rape and robbery who committed their crime in a public minivan number D-02 plying Lebak Bulus – Ciputat route. With the arrest of the these three people, the police have apprehended all rapists.
"We managed to capture the three rapists in Padang, West Sumatra," South Jakarta Police Chief, Sr. Comm. Imam Sugianto told VIVAnews, on Wednesday.
Imam said the suspects were rounded up at their hideout on Tuesday afternoon. In addition to Andri, the police also arrested Aris and Sebastian, who allegedly took part in the rape crime along with the robbery of the victim's belongings.
Earlier, a suspect named Yogi had been arrested because the victim could identify him when he operated the public car in Fatmawati quarter, South Jakarta.
As already reported, Yogi and the others had brutally raped an employee of the initial SRS, 27, on board of the D-02 Ciputat-Pondok Labu public minivan. The victim was gang-raped by the men who were likely illegal drivers.
This incident began when SRS, a Pondok Gede resident, came home from work at around 12.30 a.m. on Thursday, September 1, 2011. While waiting for the vehicle in Cilandak area on the way to Pasar Rebo, East Jakarta, a D-02 public car came. One of the rapists, Yogi, offered to take the victim to Pasar Rebo.
As there was no public transportation, SRS got in the car. But, on the way, the two other perpetrators who sat in the back confined and then raped the victim.
The rape took place as the microbus was going, circling from Trakindo to Cilandak areas. Then SRS was deserted in the Marine housing complex, Pemancing, Cilandak. Some of the victim’s belongings, including a smartphone, a CDMA cell phone, Rp700,000 of cash, were seized.
