Land Subsidence in Indonesia, 11 Missing

VIVAnews - Rescue team is still seeking missing victims from land subsidence that had hit Ngesong Hamlet, Wonosobo Regency, Central Java on Sunday, Dec 18. The disaster claimed one life. 

"11 villagers are still missing," said Chief of Information and Data Center at the National Disaster Management Agency, Sutopo Purwo Nugroho, today.

Sutopo heard that the missing eleven were reportedly dead. "We're not yet receiving any valid news on the issue," he said.

Evacuation process is restricted by the heavy downpours. "It's feared that another subsidence will hit the affected area," he said. 

As many as 627 villagers take refuge. Five of them are seriously wounded. Moreover, 13 homes had been washed away by the flood.

Menurut Direktur Bina Haji PHU Arsad Hidayat, jemaah haji diminta tidak asal membagikan informasi yang beredar di media sosial yang belum jelas kebenarannya.
