VIVAnews - Aktor George Clooney sukses menyabet penghargaan sebagai aktor terbaik dalam ajang Critics' Choice Awards 2012 di Los Angeles, Kamis, 12 Januari 2012 waktu setempat. Clooney yang memenangkan penghargaan tersebut berkat perannya di film 'The Descendants' berhasil mengalahkan nominator kuat lainnya, seperti Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, Ryan Gosling, Jean Dujardin, dan Michael Fassbender.
Dikutip dari laman Aceshowbiz, aktris Viola Davis juga ikut membawa pulang penghargaan sebagai aktris terbaik. Davis yang berperan apik sebagai pembantu berkulit hitam dalam film 'The Help' ini menyisihkan nominator lainnya, seperti Meryl Streep, Charlize Theron, dan Michelle Williams.
Sementara itu film bisu 'The Artist' memborong banyak penghargaan, mulai dari film terbaik, sutradara terbaik, dan desain kostum terbaik. Adapun penghargaan untuk kategori aktris pendukung terbaik jatuh kepada aktris Octavia Spencer. Aktor Christopher Plummer yang bermain dalam film 'Beginners' juga turut membawa pulang penghargaan sebagai aktor pendukung terbaik.
