VIVAnews - Thousands of people in Lambu, Bima, West Nusa Tenggara, set fire the office of Bima Regent, today, Jan 26.
The riot had been on the scene since this morning following a protest which demanded the Bima Regent to annul Decree No. 188/2010 on Mining Concession. In addition, the furios protesters called on Police to free the arrested inhabitants due to a clash in Sape Harbor.
The protesters initially ruined the office's gateway, tables, chairs, windows. After they took control of the site, they started burning the building. The guarding police officers could only witness their action.
Spokesperson of Bima Administration did not make comments on the incident.
