RI to Lobby Japan & China

VIVAnews - Indonesia in the Asian Development Bank (ADB) annual meeting on May 2-5 in Bali will have an intensive meeting for lobbying Japan and China.

Head of Fiscal Policy Agency Anggito Abimanyu said that Japan and China have several commitments. The value of Japan's commitments reaches US$15.267 billion while China reaches US$23.213 billion.

He said that the value of Japan's commitment in the bilateral swap is US$12 billion, US$12 billion samurai bond, US$500 million loan program, US$767 million project loan, and US$500 million trade financing.

The meeting in Bali will also finalize the meeting result of the ASEAN plus 3 meeting in Pattaya, Thailand heald early in April. One of the issues which is going to be finalised in Bali is the ADB joint funding which was agreed to be increased to 200 percent.

"There will also the launching of CGIM [credit guarantee investment mechanism]  concerning companyies' bond issuance," he said.

The Bali meeting will be attended by the participants from 67 countries.

There will also be a bilateral meeting, trade and culture promotion, seminar and exhibition during the conference.
