During the Technical Coordination Meeting (Rakornis) for Sea Traffic and Transport (Rakornis LALA) with the theme "Digital Services to Face Global Challenges" on Wednesday, December 7, 2022, Minister Budi asked the Directorate General of Sea Transportation to consistently digitize.

"The spearhead of the Ministry of Transportation which is the President's vision and mission is here, namely pioneer connectivity and sea tolls. Therefore, I ask all levels of the Directorate General of Sea Transportation to consistently digitize. Do it seriously and with heart, so the benefits of what we do can be felt directly by the public," the Minister of Transportation said at the opening of the event.

"I hope we have a dashboard, so it can be monitored where the pioneer ships are, how many passengers, how long the loading and unloading and docking time at the port, and what are the notes from the skipper, then we can also provide notes to make improvements quickly," Budi Karya Sumadi said.

Moreover, Minister Budi said coordination between stakeholders to support the connectivity of pioneer sea transportation is important. The Minister of Transportation encouraged the KOP (Port Authority Office) and KUPP (Port Operator Unit Office) in the regions to provide evaluations related to connectivity sections that have not been served by the private sector so that these sections can be served by pioneer sea toll transportation.

"We still find the occupancy rate through pioneer sea transportation is not optimal. Therefore, we must proactively coordinate with various relevant stakeholders, namely with the Coordinating Ministry for the Economy, Ministry of MSMEs, Ministry of Trade, and even with international parties such as the World Bank, so that this can be optimized," said Minister Budi.

In the future, Budi Karya Sumadi will continue to optimize the sea toll program, especially for routes that have not been able to attract business actors to serve, "In the future, we will simplify the auction/tender process for sea tolls and pioneers, so that competition can be opened as wide as possible, so there is no conflict of interest in this tender,"
