VIVA – Indonesia will host the super-fast boat racing event or F1 Powerboat on Feb 24 to 26, 2023. Meanwhile, the InJourney Marketing and Consumer Experience Director, Maya Watono said the route on Lake Toba, North Sumatra has its uniqueness and is an unusual route in the world.
"This circuit is unique because the track is on the lake and this is the first time it has been held on Lake Toba. we have done homologation; the length is 2.2 kilometers. The shape is the most unique in the world because of the geography of Lake Toba as a volcanic lake. We will share the details around early February," Maya Watono stated on Tuesday, Jan 24, 2023.
Later, the riders in the F1 Powerboat World Championship will race for 40 minutes to be the best. For the ring one point, Maya said, it is located at Sisingamangaraja Field and Napitupulu Harbor.

"We are currently building together with the Ministry of Public Works and Housing to build a tribune with a capacity of 2,100 seats. In addition, there will also be a public viewing at Bukit Pahoda with a capacity of around 1,000 to 1,500," Maya Watono stated.

On the same occasion, Minister of Youth and Sports, Zainudin Amali ensured that the F1 Powerboat event on Lake Toba would spoil the visitors who came. He also called this location cooler than in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates.
"I attended the F1 Powerboat event in Sharjah, Dubai on December 16, 2022. In Sharjah, the venue used is an artificial lake and the weather is very hot. This is very different from Lake Toba where the air is cool and not artificial. Therefore, the government will prepare this event very seriously and hopes for support from various parties to make F1 Powerboat 2023 a success," the minister said.
